The Waldorf curriculum is designed to meet the children at their developmental age level. It is important your child enter the grade level best suited to their whole being. On occasion we will consider and place children into an older or younger class. Placement is determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the child's social, emotional and academic maturity.

Additional assessments may be requested to help determine the best placement. In some cases, children entering from other schooling systems may be asked to "repeat" a grade. In our experience, the children rarely find this repetitive, as the Waldorf curriculum is diverse and varied, presenting material in ways children have not experienced before. They are also challenged in picking up new language, movement and craft classes.
