Celebrating Community and Supporting Madrona School

Dear Madrona School Community,

I just finished browsing our auction page, looking over all the items donated so far. I am honored to be part of such a generous community.

Our auction has two purposes:
1. To raise money for Madrona School. Tuition does not cover all our operating expenses. Furthermore, we strive to offer Waldorf Education to all families who want it, regardless of their ability to pay full tuition. We offer financial aid to all qualifying grade school families. We can only do this if our fundraising efforts are well supported. We have two major fundraisers a year: our Year End Giving Campaign in December and our Spring Auction.
2. To celebrate our community. The donated items represent who we are: our talents, our professional abilities, our tastes and our passions. By sharing your talents and passions, we get to know you better while enhancing our own lives.

I look forward to seeing you at the in-person bonfire on Friday evening and at the online live auction on Saturday night. And, I'll see some of you at the ghee making class Thursday night. I am excited to prepare my Indian meal on Saturday and think about all those I am virtually sharing it with.

Thank you for organizing, donating, and participating in this beautiful community building event.

Sincerely, Jocelyn Waite
Head of School
