Kwynnci Walden is a recent graduate from Central Washington University with a bachelors degree in music. She grew up in Kingston WA until moving away for college a few years ago. She recently moved back to Kingston with her husband. She is very excited to begin teaching strings at Madrona school.
In her free time Kwynnci likes to practice violin and piano and to go on hikes with her husband and dog. She also enjoys spending time in the sun, reading or swimming when the weather is nice.
“My inspiration for music comes from world renowned violinist Hilary Hahn. Her fluency in performance and incredible technique always encouraged me to practice more and gave me the passion to want to get better at the violin. Because music didn't always come easy to me, I feel as though it has given me an advantage when teaching young students who are new to an instrument.”
“My main goal for this school year and possibly what I am most excited about teaching, is getting students excited about music and making their instruments a creative outlet for themselves. I plan to give students the tools this year to play their instruments on their own at a certain level of proficiency, and hopefully strike interest in some students to want to continue their music journey outside of the classroom. “
